Safe Passage Program
The New York City Department of Education’s Project PIVOT (an acronym for: Purpose, Integrity, Voice, Optimism, and Tenacity) collaborates with community-based organizations (CBOs) that engage young people during pivotal points in their development to guide and nurture them towards their full potential.
Project Pivot offers counseling, mentoring and learning opportunities through recreational outings, sports, and arts programs. As part of this initiative, the King of Kings Foundation, along with other Cure Violence/Crisis Management Services sites and community-based organizations go into schools to support the students while engaging them in strategies that build up violence-intervention and prevention techniques.
